“I am not trapped in my body,
I am trapped in other people’s perception of my body”

Welcome!

Are you feeling not right in your body or as if you don’t belong to the gender you were assigned at birth? Are you afraid to come out to someone you love? Did your partner or spouse tell you he/she/they are transgender and you are left with confusion and fear? Are you a parent of a child who came out to you and identifies as LBGTQI and you don’t know how to process your feelings or take a deeper look within? Are you feeling shame about your body size because of diet culture and are looking for a weight neutral (HAES) therapist? Do you use substances and feel stigmatized by being called an “addict” with no hope for support? Do you use substances and are not ready to stop using, but want someone to talk to that will accept you where you are at? Have you tried to solve the problems in your life on your own and realized you need help from someone else?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you have made the right choice by being here. And I know this is hard. You’ve likely been debating seeking help for months, if not years. But I’m so glad you found me and have taken the courageous step of being here.
